Championship Heritage. Honda Performance.

Is there any other form of motorsport as graceful as trials riding? It may look easy, but in reality you need a ton of talent. And the right machine, that’s why we’re offering the 2016 Montesa Cota 4RT260. It’s the perfect marriage of legendary Montesa trials accomplishment along with a generous dose of Honda engineering.

A key feature is the four-stroke 260cc Honda engine, and refined suspension components. Combine these with Montesa’s superb overall ergonomics and balanced chassis, and you have an unbeatable combination that’s perfect for competition, whether a new trials rider or an experienced rider.

Features May Include
  • CHASSIS

The 2016 Montesa Cota 4RT260 uses an aluminum chassis with a polished finish, showcasing the classic lines and the impeccable manufacturing quality. The wide footpegs give increased control, and help provide that connected feel that’s so critical with a trials bike. They also accumulate less mud and better grip. Want to change the peg position? No problem—they’re adjustable.

  • 260cc PGM-FI ENGINE

The Montesa Cota 4RT fuel-injected power is easier to modulate, for surgical power delivery. Specifically tuned for low-rpm response, it’s also extraordinarily flexible, with plenty of power and torque all the way through the rev range.

  • ADVANCED ENGINEERING

The Cota’s Honda engine uses a battery-less digital ignition system, and includes a bank-angle sensor, which switches off the ignition when the motorcycle is laying on the ground.

  • PREMIUM WHEELS

Each of the Cota’s wheels uses a 32-spoke rim. The rear wheel features an innovative system incorporating central-adjustment spokes for a significant weight reduction, and which also allows the Cota to fit tubeless tires.

  • HONDA MONTESA HERITAGE

Montesa is one of the world’s great motorcycle companies—especially when it comes to trials bikes. Combine that expertise with Honda’s engineering and engine technology, and you can see why the four-stroke Honda Montesa Cota 4RT has clinched eight consecutive world championships. It’s the clear choice for the serious trials rider.

  • 4-PISTON FRONT BRAKE CALIPER

The Montesa Cota 4RT260 is equipped with a new 4-piston monoblock front brake caliper. The brake master cylinder is lighter and compact, offering a more precise feel.

  • PREMIUM SUSPENSION

The Montesa Cota 4RT260 carries its own fully adjustable 39mm TECH fork and R16V shock for the Pro-Link rear suspension.

  • SUPPLEMENTAL SEAT

The Montesa Cota 4RT260 comes with a removable seat that adds more comfort and incorporates a handy underseat storage.
