2015 KTM 300 XC-W Six Days

WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN

The 300 XC-W Six Days is "READY TO RACE " for the world's largest enduro competition, the "International Six Days Enduro". Six days in succession, over a thousand off-road kilometers, 40 hours in the saddle - a grueling test, not only for the rider. A whole package of high-quality special options makes the 300 XC-W Six Days fit for this ruthless contest, in which more than half the starters bank on KTM every year. No other brand is anywhere near as strong and successful in off-road sport. In 2013 the fastest rider overall was once again on a KTM. The Six Days will take place in Argentina in 2014 and the KTM model range has been updated accordingly to be equipped for everything that the South American terrain has to offer. In the form of the new Six Days models, KTM offers well-proven, robust machines that fully satisfy the high demands of this extraordinarily tough competition.

Features May Include:
  • AIRBOX

The airbox on the KTM 300 XC-W Six Days allows maximum air to pass through, but minimal dust and spray. Replacement of the twin-air filter takes approx. 15 seconds, without any tools. Absolutely "READY TO RACE".

  • ADJUSTABLE IGNITION CURVE

By opening and closing a plug connection on the KTM 300 XC-W Six Days, a choice can be made between the standard ignition curve and a softer version. Those who prefer even greater convenience can buy a switch from the PowerParts range.

  • IGNITION COVER

A new ignition cover featuring a new gasket has been developed for the KTM 300 XC-W Six Days model year 2015. The gasket for the inner clutch cover is also optimised and helps to shield the unit better.

  • OPTIMIZED ENGINE

The engine receives a new TVC exhaust control setting for MY 2015, opening at a 200-rpm higher engine speed. This results in smoother power development. The ignition curve has been optimised for this new TVC setting. The carburettor settings have also been revised with a view to better and more uniform engine characteristics.

  • ELECTRIC START

The intermediate gear ratio for the electric starter has been shortened to achieve a more powerful initial torque, thereby ensuring a more reliable electric motor start function.
